Strengths and Challenges of Mexico’s Electoral Reforms
From April 29 to May 5, 2018, IFES, with the support of the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights, participated in a Mission of Technical Accompaniment in Mexico City to analyze the reforms, identify their strengths and anticipate the potential challenges the country will face during its 2018 electoral processes. From June 28 to July 1, the mission returned to Mexico City to conduct follow-up interviews and observations during Election Day on July 1, 2018.

Elections in Mexico: July 1 General Elections
Mexicans head to the polls this Sunday to elect a new president, with hopes of economic progress and heightened security concerns. Mexico's election commission, the Instituto Federal Electoral (IFE), has made considerable reform in regulations concerning political finance, use of media and a more transparent voting and counting process.

Sudan Civic and Voter Education Baseline Study

Programa Estrategico de Educacion Civica 2005-2010
“Strategic Program of Education” is a civic education program description book, available in Spanish, issued in 2005 by the Federal Electoral Institute in Mexico. The book describes the theory of the civic education program and its contextual framework. The program defines the principles and the objectives to be achieved for the realization of the educational politics program, throughout the period of 2005-2010, that would encourage and promote the civic participation of all Mexican people.

“Demo Memory” is an informative leaflet, available in Spanish, believed to be issued in 2002 by the Electoral Institute of the Federal District of Mexico and intended to explain to the Mexican youth the implications of democracy-related concepts. Additionally, the leaflet contains a glossary and an adaptation of the “MEMORAMA” game.
