They were part of 10 photographs selected as finalists among the more than 100 images that were submitted to the democracy-themed competition.

Registering Marginalized Populations to Vote in Nepal
As Nepal undergoes critical electoral and governance changes, IFES Nepal is working with local partners to register Nepalis – including Dalits, youth, Muslim women, freed Kamaiya (those subjected to forced labor) and other historically marginalized groups – to vote. Lebanon lowers voting age to 18 years
On 19 March 2009, Parliament voted unanimously to adopt a Constitutional Law to reduce the voting age in Lebanon from 21 years to 18 years. The Law will now be forwarded to the cabinet for the second stage.

Briefing on Lebanese Voter Register
The voter register in Lebanon is updated annually. Between 10 February and 10 March, the Election Law provides that all Lebanese citizens have the right to check whether they are correctly included on the voter register before it is published on 30 March.

Kingdom of Nepal: Technical Assessment of Election System Performance, Phase 2: July-August 2000
This report concentrates on three issues relating to the current (circa 2000) situation of the Election Commission of Nepal: 1. Progress in establishing the district election offices which form a central part of the Commission's Five Year Development Plan. 2. Voter registration and the development of a sustainable system for the voter identity cards now being issued and 3. the effectiveness of the Election Code of Conduct and possible revisions to the code.
