Elections in Honduras: November 24 General Elections

Hondurans will cast ballots in general elections on November 24, 2013, electing a new President, presidential designees, deputies to the National Congress, mayors and vice mayors, among other positions.

In the presidential race, eight of Honduras’ nine registered political parties have put forth a candidate to succeed outgoing President Porfirio Lobo Sosa. Candidates range from the son of a former President to a former first lady, a sports journalist to the current President of Honduras’ National Congress.
