Elections in the Kyrgyz Republic: 2016 National Referendum and Local Elections
On December 11, Kyrgyz citizens will be voting in both local Kenesh (council) elections and on a national referendum. The local elections will be taking place as a result of President Almazbek Atambayev’s decree signed on October 10, which cited the fact that the terms of Kyrgyzstan’s local council deputies have expired. The national referendum will be held on the same day and aims to introduce amendments to the existing constitution.

Elections in Haiti: November 20 Presidential and Legislative Elections
On November 20, 2016, Haitian citizens will head to the polls to elect the President and members of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies. Haiti is repeating its October 25, 2015 presidential election following the judgment of the Independent Electoral Evaluation Commission, formed by President Martelly after electoral protests and allegations of fraud.

IFES’ "Elections: More Inclusion, Less Violence” Program in Guatemala
Through the “Elections: More Inclusion, Less Violence” project implemented by the Consortium for Electoral and Political Processes (CEPPS), IFES provided technical assistance to the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) in three areas during the 2015 electoral process: general planning; implementation of electoral security measures; and campaign finance monitoring and oversight.

On January 24, Haiti will hold run-off presidential and partial second-round legislative elections. These elections were originally scheduled for December 27, 2015, but were postponed by the Provisional Electoral Council.
