Advancing Disability Rights in Southeast Asia through Regional Network of Advocates
In 2011, IFES established the General Election Network for Disability Access (AGENDA) across Southeast Asia. A creative partnership between disabled persons’ organizations (DPOs) and election-focused civil society organizations, AGENDA serves as a forum to improve access to political and electoral opportunities for persons with disabilities by increasing public awareness and elevating advocacy efforts that call for change.

Accessible Elections for Persons with Disabilities in Five Southeast Asian Countries
All too often, persons with disabilities are not included in the political lives of their country on an equal basis with others. Accessible Elections for Persons with Disabilities in Five Southeast Asian Countries is the first systematic attempt to gather data on election access from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, the Philippines and Vietnam. The report reviews – for persons with disabilities – existing legal frameworks, challenges and barriers in exercising political rights and participation; best practices and innovations; and examples of how disabled persons organizations have been involved in electoral issues.

Belarus Referendum Ballot 1996
Ballot used for the seven-question referendum held in Belarus on 24 November 1996. The first four questions in the referendum were proposed by President Alexander Lukashenko, and the final three were proposed by the Supreme Court. The voters voted on the following:
-Whether Independence Day should be moved to 3 July, to commemorate the liberation of Belarus
-Approval of the constitutional amendments proposed by President Lukashenko
-Approval of the free sale of land
-Abolition of the death penalty
-Approval of the constitutional amendment proposed by the Supreme Soviet
-Direct elections to local bodies
-Should all state expenses be part of the national budget.

An Orderly Rebellion: Bulgarias Transition from Dictator to Democracy, August 1990
This report discusses the June 1990 elections in Bulgaria. The report discusses the roles of the Bulgarian Central Electoral Commission, political parties and election officials. The document further discusses the role IFES played in the elections. The report ends with recommendations for the Bulgarian Grand National Assembly on how to improve the electoral system. The overall focus of the report is on the content and adequacy of the laws, regulations, implementation procedures, and policy guidelines that affected the conduct of the elections and public perception of the validity of the results.

The 1990 Bulgarian Elections: A Pre-Election Assessment, May 1990
This report summarizes the findings of an IFES pre-election assessment team in Bulgaria from April, 1990. The document reports on meetings with the Central Election Commission, leaders and representatives of political parties and leading citizens groups. Further, the report discusses the electoral process, the role of the constitution, electoral law, composition and role of the central electoral commission and regional electoral commissions, voter registration procedures, the methods of ballot security, vote counting and verification, and the contest and appeals procedure. It also discussed the role of political parties in the campaign and in the election.
