IFES Statement on Electoral Assistance in the Dominican Republic
At the request of the Central Electoral Board and with support from USAID, IFES has been conducting a pre-electoral assessment of the electronic voting system to be used in the Dominican Republic’s upcoming municipal elections. We look forward to continuing to provide technical advice to the JCE before the municipal elections on February 16th and ahead of the general elections on May 17th.

IFES Statement on Electoral Assistance in the Dominican Republic
At the request of the Central Electoral Board (JCE) and with support from USAID, IFES is assisting the 2020 electoral process in the Dominican Republic. IFES’ cooperation during the current electoral period is a collaborative effort with the JCE and other electoral stakeholders to enhance the transparency, credibility and trust in the 2020 elections.

Promoting the Political Empowerment of Youth with Disabilities in the Dominican Republic
On December 13, 27 Dominican youth with disabilities celebrated completing the Engaging a New Generation for Accessible Governance and Elections course at the Iberoamerican University (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo. The eight-week course on leadership and political processes was developed through collaboration between IFES, UNIBE and the Disability Alliance for Our Rights as part of the United States Agency for International Development-funded project, “Political Leadership of Youth with Disabilities in the Dominican Republic.”
