Chad Pre-Election Assessment Report: Multi-Donor Support Program for the Electoral Process
This report summarizes IFES observations from Chad in 1994. At the time, the Chadian government reached out to the international community for help in democratizing the nation. This report documents the transitional period to democracy, analyzes the political situation and provides political indicators gauging the Independent National Electoral Commission, political parties, civic education and civil service. The report concludes with recommendations for democratization in Chad.

This report summarizes the pre-election technical assistance provided by IFES in Chad prior to elections in 1996. The report summarizes the on-the-spot assistance provided by IFES, the development of an electoral calendar and efforts devoted to voter registration. The report also includes a list of problems with the planned elections ranging from political and institutional problems to questions about security. Celebrating International Women’s Day 2019 in Papua New Guinea
IFES celebrated International Women’s Day 2019 with counterparts in Port Moresby and the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea. The Port Moresby-based Papua New Guinea Electoral Commission hosted a celebration and luncheon, and the IFES team in Bougainville joined local civil society organizations and other partners on a peace march through Buka Town.

Photo Gallery: Pacific Women with Disabilities Empowered to Advocate with Government Officials
IFES partnered with the Pacific Disability Forum to train 15 women with a diverse range of disabilities in September 2019 as part of the “Power to Persuade” program. The training enhanced participants’ public speaking and advocacy skills and provided a platform to share their work, highlight best practices and discuss lessons learned.
