The Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) and International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) are delighted to announce their new partnership. Technology can be a powerful tool for democracy; or it can be weaponized against democratic institutions, elections, and political life. Together GCA and IFES will scale and amplify projects like the GCA Cybersecurity Toolkit for Elections to advance secure elections and democracy and make participation safer for everyone.

"International cybersecurity confidence and capacity building are two of the most crucial tools democracies can leverage to thwart malign actors seeking to use cyberspace to disrupt the democratic process," remarked Stephen Boyce, IFES Senior Global Election Technology and Cybersecurity Advisor. "We are excited to partner with GCA to strengthen our respective toolkits and methodologies in the hope of building democracies that deliver for all."

This partnership is a natural complement to GCA's Craig Newmark Trustworthy Internet and Democracy Program, in particular the Cybersecurity Toolkit for Elections," said Megan Stifel, GCA Executive Director, Americas and Director of the Craig Newmark Trustworthy Internet and Democracy Program. "Collaboration with IFES will ensure we continue to provide election officials with the tools and resources they need to build upon their security efforts and safeguard our democracy."
