Training Libyans to Conduct Polling Station Audits
IFES trained Libyan government officials and disability rights advocates on polling station audits and accessible architecture. Since 2007 when the United Nations General Assembly designated September 15th as the International Day of Democracy, organizations – governmental and nongovernmental – have joined with others to commemorate the importance of promoting and upholding principles of democracy. On August 10, 280 young people gathered in Mandalay, Myanmar, to celebrate International Youth Day.
